So, today I’ve decided to bring to your attention the recipe for some delicious caramel corn with yacon syrup!

Why this recipe in particular? Because is not a heavy dessert, it’s sweet but with just a little amount of sugars due to the “special ingredient” that’s the yacon syrup.I have already presented you some benefits of using ths syrup in your recipes but I can’t simply get enough of that.

There are so many good things I could tell you about this syrup but we have plenty of time for all them in all the recipes we would bring to your attention so, for now, I’m just reminding you that is an amazing substitute for sugar, is a prebiotic, low in calories and cholesterol so it’s healthy and it doesn’t get you fat…I know ladies but not only, have this issue all the time with all they eat or drink.

As I was saying, caramel corn with yacon syrup is a sweet treat, fast and easy to prepare and that, alongside your favourite movie, will lift up your spirit, our goal from the very beginning :)

So let’s get started by preparing the ingrediens wich are listed below.

Ingredients :

  • 3/4 cup of yacon syrup
  • 1/ 5 ounce bag popcorn
  • 1/2 cup of sesame seeds
  • 1/2 stick butter (4 tablespoons)
  • 3 sheets of Nori seaweed, toasted and ripped into little pieces
  • 1-2 teaspoons of sea salt

Directions :

  1. Pour the popcorn in a large bowl.
  2. Over low heat, melt the butter and stir in the yacon syrup. Pour this warm mixture over popcorn and gently toss to coat.
  3. Add the sesame seeds and torn Nori then toss one more time.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool, serve and enjoy your time!!

Cookies are just fabulous…they’re simple to prepare, they are a great treat for you and your dear ones and of course, they’re perfect to help you when you are famished but you don’t have the time to fetch something to eat.

But today we are non presenting you just any cookies, no…we’re presenting you THE COOKIES, the gluten free ginger cookies.

Ginger is a flowering plant in the family Zingiberaceae whose rhizome, ginger root or simply ginger, is widely used as a spice or a medicine. It is a herbaceous perennial which grows annual stems about a meter tall bearing narrow green leaves and yellow flowers.

Is indigenous to southern China, and was spread eventually to the Spice Islands, other parts of Asia and subsequently to West Africa and the Caribbean.

All around the globe, in different countries and cultures, ginger have been used since being discovered as a spice for different dishes, giving the food a hot, fragrant detail.If it’s simply boiled in water, you can prepare delicious ginger tea by adding a slice of orange or lemon fruit.

Another important fact is that ginger has been always used as a medicine.It contains a chemical that is used as an ingredient in antacid, laxative and anti-gas medications.

According to the National Library of Medicine, part of the NIH (National Institutes of Health), ginger is widely used throughout the world for treating loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting after surgery, nausea resulting from cancer treatment, flatulence, stomach upset, colic, morning sickness and motion sickness.

Here are the ingredients and the “how to” for gluten free, ginger cookies with yacon syrup.

Ingredients :

  • 2 ½ cups of blanched almond flour
  • ½ teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons of fresh grated ginger (or 2 tablespoons of dried ginger)
  • ½ cup of unrefined coconut oil
  • ¼ cup of yacon syrup
  • ½ cup of brown rice syrup or yacon syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

Directions :

  1. Combine dry ingredients almond flour, salt, baking soda and dried ginger in a large bowl.
  2. Combine unrefined coconut oil, yacon syrup, brown rice syrup and fresh ginger in a separate bowl.
  3. Mix both bowls together.
  4. Place 1 tablespoon of mixture onto a baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350° for 7-10 minutes.
  6. Let cool and serve.

I personally prefer homemade cookies, so today we’d like to present to you guys another awesome cookies recipe.

This time, we’ve thought we should let you know how yo can prepare some delicious gluten free pumpkin spice cookies with yacon syrup.

Yes, pumpkin spice and yacon syrup, two of the greatest products, by my point of view.

The pumpkin spice will give the cookies a nice pumpkin flavour and the yacon syrup,well…it will simply make the cookies not onli delicious but even lighter so you can savour your cookies without having to worry about your weight because yes, yacon syrup can help you lose weight or keep in shape.

How it works?!? You use it as a sweetener, instead of sugar – or even in place of honey.

This syrup contains from 40% – 50% of an insoluble fiber known as, comprising insoluble sugars.

The rest includes the usual sugary substances found in sweet tubers and fruits such as fructose, glucose and sucrose.

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cups of blended cooked pumpkin (canned or fresh)
  • 2 cups of almond meal or flour (made with no skins)
  • 1/2 cup of spectrum organic shortening or coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup of yacon syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of pure real vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of grey sea salt (or any healthy salt)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice (4 parts ground cinnamon, 2 parts ground ginger, 1 part allspice, 1 part nutmeg)

Directions :

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Precook fresh pumpkin by steaming or baking. You can also use canned pumpkin.
  3. Combine dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients including yacon syrup in one bowl. Mix.
  4. Use a blender to mix all ingredients together.
  5. Line a sheet with parchment paper and place large heaping tablespoons of batter on the paper. 6. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Cool and serve.

I’m pretty sure lots of you like having a good breakfast before starting a new day and it’s well known that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it’s giving us all the energy we can get for the entire day.

But it’s also very important what we eat because nowadays we’re tempted to eat fast food only to spare some time and that it’s reflects in our health, spirit and looks, of course.

An ideea for a geat way to start the day it would be to try this recipe of cream of wheat with an little add we’ve made.

This recipe is different from others because it contains this miracle product we’ve presenting you, the yacon syrup.

I say it’s a miracle product because it helps you lose weight or, for those who don’t need to lose some pounds, help them keep in shape but the amazing thing about it is that it’s very healthy, being an awesome substitute for sugar or honey.

Ingredients:

  • 1 & ½ cups of water
  • ½ cup of almond milk or 2% milk
  • 5 tablespoons of cream of wheat
  • ½ teaspoon of butter

  • 1 tablespoon of white or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of Yacon Syrup.

Directions:

  1. Add water, milk, butter, sugar, and salt into a pan and bring to a slight boil – & then -slightly reduceheat.
  2. Stir in cream of wheat – and slowly stir (every minute) – to avoid lumps.
  3. Desired creaminess or thickness will be obtained within 2-3minutes after adding cream of wheat.
  4. Once in bowl – swirl on top or fully add in the yacon syrup and enjoy.
